Dental Sealants
A simple protective coating applied to teeth to help prevent cavities, especially in children.
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are a thin, protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (molars and premolars) to help prevent cavities. The grooves and pits in back teeth can be difficult to clean thoroughly with brushing alone, making them more vulnerable to decay.
Sealants act as a barrier, keeping out food particles and bacteria that can lead to tooth decay. They are most commonly recommended for children as their permanent teeth come in, but adults can benefit from sealants as well.
The application is quick, comfortable, and requires no drilling. Sealants can last several years with proper care and are a simple, effective way to protect teeth long-term.
